Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.

Psych
I love being able to identify psychologists everywhere and relating everyday life to psychology. Like seeing freud’s theories on phineas and ferb and mentioning psychoanalysis. Or watching people behave certain ways and thinking of things like (oh…bystander effect or saying stuff like you’re suffering from belief bias or fixation. Or just randomly mentioning developmental stages. lol) or recognizing noam chompsky as the language dude.
Except when you mistake Paige’s with Piaget…
This is one of the reasons why I hate the english language.
And fluent english speakers don’t understand why foreign people have such a hard with english grammer.
Seriously, we have like a billion rules that don’t apply half the time.
